XP-Dite

Welcome to XP-DITE

XP-DITE is a research project which brings together 13 organisations across Europe to develop, and demonstrate a comprehensive, passenger-centred, outcome-focused, system-level approach to the design and evaluation of airport security checkpoints.

XP-DITE will allow airports, checkpoint designers and regulators to incorporate a wide range of requirements and evaluate checkpoint performance against system-level security, cost, throughput, passenger satisfaction and ethical factors. This should result in robust security performance, whilst giving airports the freedom to use innovative procedures and technology to improve passenger convenience and reduce delays.

The XP-DITE project is summarised in this XP-DITE booklet download which gives an overview of the results of the project. This publication provides an overview of the approach and tools developed and highlights how these results could help deliver the next generation of aviation checkpoints, with tangible benefits for passengers, airport operators and regulators.
